I agree with these guesses. For the director - what about your ol' pal Steven Spielberg? How long has he been married?
I've been digging through some of these older blind items just for the sleuthing hell of it, and found this one.
IMDb'd the top 10 or 20 of Hollywood directors, to find the ones with 30-year marriages (not many!). Then checked if they had a movie come out in 2008 or 2009, with an Aussie starlet in it.
Michael Mann mostly fits the bill (married since 1974, but perhaps "wife of 30 years" should be taken as a ballpark, b/c there aren't THAT many big directors with marriages this long, so an accurate number would be a dead giveaway).
He directed Public Enemies, which started filming in December 2007 (the blind item is late december!), and counted Emilie de Ravin among the cast.
